WHAT IS ORBIT AND OCULOPLASTY?
Orbit & Oculoplasty is an evolving ‘Sub-Specialty’ branch of ophthalmology consisting of two aspects, Orbit-or the Skeletal eye-socket and Oculoplasty, meaning cosmetic or reconstructive procedure that pertains to cosmetic treatment, inclusive of various diseases and disorders of the eyelids and orbits (sockets) including orbital cancer & orbital tumors.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF ORBIT DISORDER?
Some of the internal causes are Infection & Reddishness of the eyelids, twitching & swelling of the eyelids, abnormal Rotation or Positioning of the eyelids, Swelling of the eyelids, Thyroid Eyes, Tumor of the eyelids & orbital tumors. Some of the external reasons are, tearing of the eyes and orbital fractures of the eye socket or a case of Ocular Prosthesis.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT?
Plastic and reconstructive surgery of peri-orbital and facial tissues eyelid repositioning, orbital fractures, Botox treatment, Fillers & Cosmetic enhancement are namely the few of the salient features of providing treatment, eroding generic flaws, and providing picture-perfect appearance and psychological comfort for patients with severe accidental injuries & mental trauma. The treatment involves specialized training skills & is performed in consultation with eye surgeon.
