It is a ‘Sub-Specialty’ that merges the fields of neurology and ophthalmology, often dealing with complex neurological manifestations leading to visual disorders.

Vision related complaints that are not supported by clinical diagnosis is a perfect prognosis of Neuro-Ophthalmology condition and an indication of non-organic sign & symptoms. Based on this a Specialist will recommend CT scan or an MRI test to identify any associated brain damage. Based on the results oral or IV medications are recommended & in some cases a surgery might be required.
